Mandarin has been part of Nana Plaza for more than two decades, but these days it wears its age remarkably well.

A major rebuild gave the bar a cleaner, more polished identity, with comfortable seating wrapped around a low central stage and a Chinese-inspired moon gate framing the room behind it. The lighting is softer, the atmosphere more lounge-like, and everything feels designed to keep the dancers close without crowding the space.

That makes Mandarin an easy bar to settle into. The girls remain the focus, but the room has enough restraint that you can actually take in the stage, have a conversation and let the night develop at its own pace.

A quarter-century in, Mandarin isn’t living on nostalgia.

It’s found a way to grow into the name.
