Five Star gives Soi Cowboy a change of tempo. On a street famous for go-go stages and neon, this compact bar puts a live band front and centre, working through rock, blues and pop classics from the ’70s, ’80s and beyond. Recent visitors still single out the band - and especially the old-school rock soundtrack - as the reason they end up staying longer than planned.

There’s history in the room too. Five Star briefly went the go-go route before eventually finding its way back to live music, which feels like where it belongs. Grab a beer, find a seat close to the band and let the guitars compete with the neon outside.
